Shark Fishing Charters

    Shark Fishing Charters

The winter and spring months are the best time of the year for a Shark Fishing Charter with Finao Sportfishing in Florida. During this time, Sharks will begin to migrate into the warm waters of the Saint Lucie Power Plant and the rivers of the Fort Pierce Inlet. Finao Sportfishing runs Shark Fishing Charters in Fort Pierce, Florida from late October until early May. On our shark fishing adventures we target a variety of giant shark species including: Blacktips, Bull Sharks, and Hammerheads.

Finao Sportfishing uses fresh live bait when targeting sharks. The shark species that we are fishing for on our Florida fishing charters are typically eating larger fish such as Bonita,  Jack Crevalle, and Barracuda. These are the types of  bait fish that Finao Sportfishing utilizes when shark fishing.  When fishing with large baits, heavy duty fishing equipment such as strong fishing line, sizable hooks, as well as sturdy roads and reels must be used. On your shark fishing charter with Finao Sportfishing, all of the top of the line fishing gear that you will need is provided to you for the duration of your trip. One of the fishing techniques that Finao Sportfishing uses while shark fishing is chumming, which helps draw the sharks closer to the charter boat. Another technique that is used during some of our shark fishing charters is the use of drones. By flying a drone over the area that is being fished our charter boat captains can search for giant sharks as well as the bait fish that they eat.

Our Head Captain Austin Hayne has numerous years of experience both running charter boats as well as shark fishing.  You can check out some of our incredible shark fishing trips that have been recorded on our Twitch channel Finaolive.
